    FAQs

    1) How much are club dues and what do I receive with registration?

Club dues will be $130 for the entire academic year. Dues will cover a team shirt, cap, and all meet/travel expenses.

    2) What skill level is necessary to participate?

All skill levels are welcome in Club Swim! We have a huge array of talents on our team ranging from people who just started swimming for fun, to ex-varsity athletes. Club swim can be as competitive as you want to make it, and the only "time qualifying" meet is Nationals, which is the last meet of the Spring Semester.

    3) When are practices and are they mandatory?

Practices are held each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8-9 PM. In addition to these times, our club has lane reservations at Carmichael Monday-Thursday from 8-10 PM! Practices are not mandatory; you may come to as many or as few as you would like.

    4) What are practices like?

Our Vice President will typically write sets in the 2000-3000 yard range per practice. The sets provided will have a different focus each day, but you are welcome to customize the practice to your liking or do something entirely different!

    5) What is the best way to stay up to date with club swim news?

Most of our updates can be found in the team GroupMe (which swimmers will be added to following registration) or via team emails. Our Instagram is also a good way to stay on top of what is happening with the team!

    6) Do we have social events?

Our club hosts a variety of social events throughout the year! These include tailgates, seasonal parties, movie/game nights, and many other fun events!

    7) Do we go to swim meets?

Yes! We typically will attend two away meets and one home meet per semester! Meet attendance is optional but it is highly recommended as it is a fun way to bond with the team, visit new places, and qualify for Nationals which is hosted at the end of the Spring Semester. This past year we had away meets at, Georgia, UNCC, Clemson, APP State, and Nationals in Arizona!
